Can you help? Meir Heath windmill questions

Request information on Windmill (Pumping) Leadendale

Question! Was the water pumping wind mill at Leadendale used for topping up the reservoir
for the use of the new steam cars and lorries?.

Were the bore holes shown on the plantation site
at Black lake, used to top up the reservoir on
the Leadendale side of the road, also the pit hole
now called Black Lake which derived its name from
the washing of coal before sale.
They also could have helped to drain the local pits of water, and provided water for the steam
engines that came into use in the mid 1800s for
the raising and lowering of coal skips, and maybe
provided power for the blast furnace?.

Any answers to these questions?.
